would discus be ok as dithers? my LFS is selling relatively cheap discus and I know they are from south amercia... my PH is about 6.8. would the pbass mess with them even though they are not a good shape to try to swallow?

Go with a fish that gets big also..Tin-foil barbs etc.. The pbass will outgrow anything but something thats goona be hard to swallow whole!!!

discus are such fragile fish... Probably not a good idea. It would be a waste of money! Just go catch a blue gill for free!

4 weeks or so for a couple bluegill.

I've done about a week or so.... Haven't had any problems ..... yet. I know a few others that have done the same thing and have good success.

I don't have a Pbass yet, but I would def go with the bluegill. They will be able to hold their own and they can come very cheap.

a week or two should be fine.
