dither stocking help?

ok so my escondido ate all the giant danios that didnt suicide
what do u reckon i could try next?
he is about 10cm atm
i think

and its a 4"x18x18 tank

any suggestions and ideas are appreciated thanks

Does he need dithers? Is he shy and hide all the time? Maybe a few silver dollars.

I agree with the silver dollars! Great looking dither fish. But yea...reasons for the dithers?

yeah if giant danios didn't work then silver dollars are probably the next best bet. you could also try one of the rounder rainbow species if you wanted but getting a decent sized school could prove to be expensive.

If you do get something else grow them out in another tank first.

since he has no dithers he has turned into ocd digging maniac
he is either in his cave or digging or both
when i had danios they kept him entertained

Even with dithers he will still dig-that is what cichlids do.

get him a female and some dithers. then may be he'll do something else besides digging...
