My male has become so increasingly aggressive (before he was pretty mean but now he is pissed at the world) and is biting my female dovii and she is losing scales now...I just noticed this today...What are some good dithers to take the attention off my female?

How big is the tank? Danios will get eaten eventually. Tinfoil barbs are good, but they need a lot of space.

Keep an eye on them, male doviis can be calm and mellow and turn very aggressive overnight. Although I have'nt had any males kill their mates, I always have a tank where I can put the female if she's looking beat up. If he's chasing her, but does not really attack it may pass, but if he's causing damage it's time to move her. This has just been my experience.

I tried to put 3 full grown giant danios with my 6" dovii...

this was after a short while:

I rescued the other two :)

Well the tank I just moved them into is a 75 gallon but they are only 6in and 4 1/2..Im getting a 210 gallon in a couple of weeks...I guess I will wait to get some barbs when I get my larger tank...

I would suggest a divider as a dither/target :P
