ok, hes over his fungal infection now so in a weeks time hes off to his new home upstairs in a bigger tank! any ideas on tank mates? id like a couple other chichilds for him to play with. any suggestions? 150 litre, be a shame to just have him in there. Hes not particularly agressive, hes quite chilled out, bare that in mind!

how big is he?
the 150 a 5ft/2ft/2ft?
silver sharks/tinfoils/birchirs/hoplo catfish/plecs/ have these with my pair of oscars and now no problems but with other cichlids it was a nightmare esp the evil vieja which killed a green terror and beat a jack dempsey and the two oscars real bad!!!
had also a jaguar which after 1.5years turned into an evil boy attacking everything

his newest home is to be 3ft x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. its not permanent, but it will do til my channa pleurophthalma are ready for their tank, then he will get a similar sized tank to as you specified. hes only 5 inches at the mo. so looking for a smallish species, wont be a tank mate forever, a year max, will probably stay in the tank he gets put in when the oscar moves on.

oh didnt realise 150 litres<my bag>
that tanks very small indead mate so iam going to say no because by the end of the summer your oscar should be nearing 10inch plus

if you go with a 6x2x2 tank 150 imp gallons then maybe you could try him with a jd and a severum? just an idea

Silver dollars are probably best. The shape makes them pretty much impossibly to eat, unlike giant danios.
