Hey guys I was wondering what might be some good dithers for a oscar in a 55? Yes I know to small, but will be upgrading in the future:headbang2 I was hoping I could put other cichlids like a pair of firemouths or something:WHOA:

Are you looking for dithers or just wanting to add more fish? If it's just the O no need for dithers, and if it's the O and something else you're pretty much out of room for dithers. If it's a little oscar and you want more activity throw in a dozen giant danios, when he gets bigger and picks them off you know it's time for a bigger tank :)

Silver Dollars are the ultimate SA dither! Since you are planning on upgrading the tank get some small ones. They grow fast though but then so do Oscars. Bide your time thusly.

I have a couple Giant Danios with my oscar and Dempsey and he hasn't eaten them yet, they are too fast fast for him.

I would have to disagree. I bought a dozen of Giants Danios. There are only 3 large ones left and my oscar is only 7in.

IMO silver dollars would be a better choice and they look better than giant danios.

my giant danios last one night .. as soon as the light go out .. they are done for .. the red hook silvers are way to big and way to fast .. both with work .. but the red hooks will work for much much longer ..
