Dithers for the Ole GT?

I want to get some dithers for my GT. I've never been a fan of having just 1 fish to a tank. It just seems boring and I think all fish could do with some company.

So I was thinking of either Tinfoil Barbs or Silver Dollars. I've heard the dollars get up to 10 inches(IDK just heard). Which would do nice with my GT. Thinking 2 would do very nice.

I've heard that Tinfoil barbs get like over 12 inches. It would be the GT's tank so don't really want my dithers to look like they have the tank and the GT is the dither to them.:irked: IDk what size barbs get though or if I've heard wrong. What do you all think.
 
yea tins get big i'd go with a couple silver dollars or even a smaller kind of barb
 
dont silver doller get fin nippy unless in a school of 6 or more?
 
Redhooks or a Flagtail...
 
Silver dollars are a schooling fish that should be with 6 or more of thier own kind. Redhooks will get over 8" normal silver dollars around 6"(I think), and the spotted silver dollars 4"-6". Might want to confirm the sizes with someone else. I have 5 redhooks with my gt and it works well but I do plan to get a bigger tank and bigger fish in the future so the dithers are'nt as big as all the rest.
 
What the hell is a redhook and a flagtail.:irked: Not as advanced in the MFK world as i should be.

Are they Silver dollars or the barbs or something.

And not very keen to the the tetra's. IDK I just don't think I would like that idea, but thanx anyway.:D
