Hey all looking for a dither I can put in my 20l that will help disperse aggression in a group of victorian cichlids that I have. I do plan on breeding them and I would like to remove the fry into a holding tank but in the event that it doesn't work that way, I would want to make sure that the dithers wouldn't see the fry as snacks,

So what do you guys suggest, I am open to any suggestions ?

the cichlids are mouthbrooders. and the tank is only a 20 long so tinfoils would be too big (I have 2 in my 225 that are easily 9" and they eat ANYTHING)

Any fish would eat fry unless they are pygmy corys, pretty much the only fish I know of that would not eat any fry, and that's just because their mouths are especially tiny. As far as danios or small tetras go, the only ones I could think of would get picked off by the cichlids eventually or they just can't thrive in the same parameters (assuming you're thinkng of dithers for African cichlids?).

they are Hap 44 red tails AKA zebra obliquidens, which means the mouthbrooding would allow the babies to grow to a decent enough size before their release from the mouth surely?
