Are red hook silver dollars good dithers for CA/SA cichlids? I know they grow larger than regular silvers (about 10in?) . Also The tank they will be going in is a 125 gallon with the stock: 1 oscar
1 jack dempsey ,1 green terror
and one senegal bichir.
I need to keep agression down but was wondering if adding a few would overstock? I was thinking about adding three because they need to school?

they work good IMO, as do buenos aires tetras if the cichlids are still small

I had those when I first started fish keeping.....a year ago my friend has them now. They used to take turns swimming behind the heater and would somtimes swim upside down around objects in the tank but they destroyed every plant I tried to put in even a java fern...I plan on only having beard algea in my 125 ( I think it looks cool) and I'm hopeing the silver dollars keep it undercontrol.

Yep. Redhooks are good dithers. I am trying to find some redhooks to stop my 2 oscas from fighting.

red hooks are good...I'd got for 5 or so. Big groups are better and they're not that bad bioload wise.

thanks everyone for your comments I am trying to find where to get them the only I have found so far was three at petsmart for 30$ each but I don't know if I trust petsmart and 30 each Is way to much.
