what kinda fish would make good dithers for some cichlids?

obviously cheap ones haha. i was thinking maybe silver dollars? they would be going in a tank with a pair of cuban cichlids, a male texas cichlid, and a jardini. i just need some dithers that are fast enough to get away if the sh*t hits the fan.

Depends on how monster your fish are, but I have a group of assorted rainbows with mine... I use the larger growing rainbow species like boesemani and turquoise, etc., obviously... not the smaller ones like furcata.

Bala's are awesome dithers...

For bigger cichlids, silver dollars are good. They can get pretty big though so you have to account for a school of 4"-6" fish
