It's nice to own your own gear - rental wetsuits are nasty and regulators process a lot of spit through them...
Are you diving in New York or somewhere warm? If you plan on coldwater diving I would buy steel tanks. Aluminum tanks are buoyant, and with a drysuit or a thick wetsuit you already have to wear a lot of lead.
4 dives in, what do you think so far? I'm assuming you are enjoying it, since you're dropping a bit of cash on gear!

yeah I dropped a lot of $$ this summer, start of school..
Im diving here. I will be doing shore diving but most of the people i dive with go to diffrent schools.. so I have to wait..
im going to try and go on some vacations to dive...

I don't have a very good underwater still camera, but these are a few decent ones!
