Hey folks, looking to divide a 125 6foot tank for 2 9inch lugibris pikes, so holes need to be a little smaller than golfball size .Kinda new at dividing tanks over 30gal. They make dividers for them, but not sure about tanks of this size. Prob DIY is what I need to do here. Went to Home Depot today and they had plexiglass which I would have to carve holes myself and something called "vinal ladder" I believe. This looked ok, but not sure if it's water safe and I'm forced to buy a lot of this expensive stuff....Any suggestions?

This is what u need or u can get plexi glass and drill holes in it both are available at home depot

You should have excess if you buy 1 standard sheet, use the excess for vertical and horizontal pieces zip tied to the bottom and perpendicular to the sides. These will create stability, and help if 1 pike decides to try and hammer down the barrier.

I also like to notch out a little at the tank rim, to snuggly hold the top, and have some egg crate protrude higher than the waters surface. An eager fish will slide over the top if egg crate not high enough.

NP usually double wall mine and use suction cup s for support and make sure they can't jump over as he mentioned above

Thanks for those illustrations duanes, big help. Gonna set up the divider tomorrow (this duo are getting big and mean). I'll see what I got for space, but I just may double up the walls like you said Aquaman, thanks for your tips

I'd use the crate material as posted above, just like that.

Moved to DIY.
