I have a 150g now and am going to add a 2 or 300g also. Planning on a midas and something else of simular size. Am I better off with a divider in the middle of a 200 or 2 100g tanks. Maybe 3 dividers in a 300g if I get a few cichlids that cant get along. Take filtration and cost into consideration and let me know what you think.

Personally i prefer the look of a clean tank, so would suggest setting up separate tanks...

If you have the room for it, it's always better to have separate tanks if you want to keep show quality specimen looking like they are show quality fish.
Midas, maybe a lyonsi or flowerhorn. Might pick up a few of the same species and try breeding for fun. Ive had success in the past.
