Does anyone know of any good dividers that aren't so prone to algae growth? Every one I use seems to grow algae 2x maybe 3x as fast as anything else in my tank. Any advice would be appreciated.

That's actually the exact thing I had. That and a piece of plexi that had holes drilled in it. I was thinking about spray painting the egg crate black so the algae growth won't be so distracting but I'm worried that the spray paint may be toxic to the fish. Thanks for the reply.
Think I got it figured out. PVC frame with a 5 gallon paint strainer around it. I'll see how it goes.
