​I have done research I just wanted input from you guys. I have a 4" male jag and some 1.5" Fry I need to separate.

The egg crate might not work for the fry. They will try to get through it if possible. When I cut mine I snapped a small piece on one side and the fish escaped.

Where do I get the acrylic?

any hardware store like Menards or Home Depot should have it, you will have to drill it and cut it yourself.

also you have to make sure the acrylic is stable and not going to move AT ALL while you drill it or it will crack.
