I want to divide my 125g into at least three compartments. One of those compartment I want to completely separate with a solid divider. Think tank within a tank. What thickness of glass would I need for that? I'm thinking I would need 3/8" like the rest of the tank but it's hard to get a hold of that locally. What do you guys think?

This all depends on where you are putting the divider and how high the water will be on each side.

If the water will be the same level on each side then a piece of plastic wrap would be sufficient. Anything thicker than that will be more than sufficient. 3/8" glass would be way over kill. A cheap piece of thin plate glass from one of the home centers is what I would use... or maybe plexiglass.

youre main consideration will be basing thickness on impact resistance. If you have decorations that may hit the glass or fish that will kick up the gravel, you will want something that is strong, and I think 3/8" would be more than enough.

Thanks guys. I'm going to use something in-between the 3/8" and that real thin plate glass. I don't want it cracking during water changes or from toppling decorations.
