I bought a 125 gallon aquarium and need to build a stand. My question is do I make it the exact size of the dimensions to the black trim? I didn't know if I was supposed to make it slightly larger, so the tank isn't sitting right on the edge of the boards? Thanks.

it's a personal preference thing. 125 is 72 3/8 x 18 1/4?

Depends how you want the tank to look on the stand. Some people prefer to make the stand come up around the trim of the tank, while others let it rest on top. Either way the stand should be slightly larger than the tank itself.

Thanks. Yeah, it's a standard aqueon 125 gallon. It's supposed to be in, so I can pick it up Saturday. I was wanting to hopefully get most of the stand done, so it'd be about ready to set the tank on.
