Hi everyone,

i made a 150 gal tanks L160cm x H65cm x W55cm, but i havent use it because im not sure if it can hold up
the tank is braceless/rimless, with 12mm low iron glass tempered all sides,
so is it safe or strong enough?

im planing to use this tank for nature aquarium
mb the max water level is 60cm not 100% full to 65cm, the silicone work is good with good quality silicone too

thank you

i tested it few hours ago, it holds up for few hours but the upper center of the 160cm glass is bended like 4mm, so i was a bit worried and remove all the water, is it safe when the glass bend like that? will it hold up for years?

Maybe redo the bracing. But it shouldn’t bend. Some plywoods have been up for years. True long term I can’t say I know of any members.

I would brace it. Post some pics of the tank so we can see what you have to work with.

My 150 gallon rimless uses 3/4” glass on front and back and 5/8” glass on the sides. All panels are low iron tempered. I’d recommend a eurobrace

Eurobrace or a cross brace, whichever you're more comfortable with.

can i brace it like that? is it enought to hold the bowing glass side?
just the upper side of 160 cm, 2" wide.

if i braced it like that, it still keep the aesthetic appeal of rimless aquarium

the red one is the brace i mention
