I want to set up a 180 gallon tank in my basement. The flooring is Porcelian tile on concrete flooring. I have a couple questions,
1. Will this flooring be ok for the stand?
2. Will the tile crack if held up by four iron legs or would it be better to do the stand out of 4x4s and plywood?
The reason I would like to do the iron legs with a plywood top is because I already have all of the material. Thanks for the responses.

If you do the iron legs...lay down a sheet of plywood or flat 2x4's on the floor first to distribute the weight better on the tile or just make a complete box frame out of steel. Ive made dozens of steel stands and id never make one that wasent an entire box frame style. Make 2 frames one top and one bottom, then put ur legs inside the frames and ur good to go. This will also distribute the weight the best on the floor and for the tank.
