Any ideas? I've searched the forum I've come to the conclusion that egg crate is best. But none of the threads I found had a step by step on how to do it. If anyone could help me out it would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Here's one I made for a 55.
Note I use horizontal pieces for the bottom, they help stabilize it and rocks can be placed on to keep strong fish from moving it. Also note the vertical pieces placed perpendicular to give it strength and stability, without the vertical pieces a strong determined fish can easily push it over.
I use zip ties to hold the pieces together

I also notch the egg crate near the rim/frame to help stabilize and fit snugly and securely.

I believe this one for the 55 was made with one sheet of diffuser, I use a needlenose pliers to snap it apart to size, and use the extras to brace on the bottom and vertically.
The perpendicular pieces are only about 3 inches, and by sort of locking the pieces within squares, it adds stability.
Be sure to cut the pieces to fit as close to the inside glass walls and bottom as possible, its amazing how easy it is for a fish to slip thru a very narrow space.

Egg crate is def the easiest route to go. Allows you to be creative too. With smaller fish you don't even need the extra support
