diy 55 gallon tank stand

ok everyone happy new year i just picked up a 55 for 20 bucks, its older and heavy tho its made of 3/8 thick glass so i want to build a stand /cabinet for it, i want the framing to be out of pine 2x4 and il prbobably skin it in door skin or something ive used the search feature but was wondering if anyone had any advice or ideas all are welcome please help me lol, thankyou

You may want to look at http://www.aquarium-stand-plans.com/. I have just completed one of these stands and it is a great design. The instructions were clear and concise.

what i did with mine is some basic framing plans and then looked at some other members ideas i went into a pet store to look at some stands so i could really make what i want
