i'm in socal. fountain valley to be exact.

Harbor Freight is my first choice. Then Lowes, Homely Depot, Menards, etc. You will find it in the tool area.

cool, i'll check harbor freight tonight for the buffing wheel. recommend any particular buffing compound?

I got mine in a kit with the wheel and two types of compound. One is red and the other is gray. I don't remember which is coarser but just get what you can. If you can get both, that would be best. Use the coarser for fast work and the fine compound to make the front panel perfect.

thanks a bunch

NOVUS is the best out there! i just bought a used acrylic tank and used novus #3 #2 #1. You would probably need to sand it depending on how deep your scratches are. Make sure you have very fine grit. I started from 1800 up to 8000 then use the NOVUS and tank looks new and I'm loving it.

did you use a buffing compound or just the wet sand paper? i have some minor scratches in the front of my acrylic tank and im looking for the most cost friendly way to get my tank looking great.
