This is my 2nd DIY background project... Its a 20 gallon long tank. I went for a kind of volcanic theme and tried to get the background to resemble the lava rock in the foreground. I need some fish ideas on what to put it in it? Nothing too small that would get sucked into the intakes since I have a fluval 205 canister filter and the suction at the intakes is super strong. I know theres not many options with a 20g tank, but hopefully you guys have some suitable ideas. Thanks.

thanks teki! i carved everything out of styrofoam that you could pick up at any crafts store.. glued it all together with aquarium safe silicone.. then i covered it with about 4 layers of quickrete cement.. with the last couple batches of cement i mixed in quickrete liquid cement color to give it its lava rock appearance.. then finally glued it inside the tank.. inside the volcano theres just a circular bubble disk with a hydor red led light glued on top of it

Some african cichlids would look amazing in there.

some? lol, 20g ain't that big, plus i bet the decoration takes up at least 5 gallons of swim-able space (couldn't see the pic of the tank). MAYBE 1 cichlid in there. What about a small school of 4-6 Cory's and a pair of Dwarf Gouramis?

Cool looking setup. I've always like the LED volcano effect but always thought it looked out of place in a tank. I looks great in this one! You could try a few congo or diamond tetras. They should be big enough to not get eaten by the filter. 1 sajica or HRP would look good too.
