So I drilled a hole into a piece of acrylic. Then I heated it with a candle, bent it to the shape I wanted. I recommend a heat gun to save time.
Here is the end product, it isnt even, but it will work. I bought a float switch online. I put my float switch in the hole and screwed the top tight.
Then I bought a extension cord that has two cords next to each other. I split them down the middle w a straight edge, then cut only one side. Peeled the cover back and took the ends from the float switch and put them together and capped them with a wire twist wire connector (Orange one not the yellow). You could use electrical tape instead of the wire twist connectors, but I wanted a clean look.
Heres the finished product.
The only down side to this is I still need to buy a 2 prong to 3 prong connection so that I can connect my small pump.
I am going to put a 2 flat top screws through my acylic so that i can adjust the screws to keep the acrylic flush and my float switch flush.
