DIY background Ideas

Hey guys, i currently have a rocky DIY background that was on my 75 when i bought it. I was thinking of making a new one like South/central amerian style. If you have seen some of the 3d backgrounds from designbynature i want to make it kind of like the root or stump one. The reason im here is i want to know if any of you have made one similar to my idea, and if you have can you please post a pic. I would like to get some ideas or hints so anything is appreciated, Thank you
 
Yeah definately. Ive been drawing some ideas up and have been searching the web. Got lots of time as i wont be starting untill christmas has passed so hopefully some people could give me a few ideas.
