hi i was wondering if it would be safe if i made a homemade net breeder using popsicle sticks and mesh but if i could hot glue everything instead of silicone would hot glue thats cured safe to put in the water thanks

use regular super glue. cyanoacrylate it is safe and hold up well in water. It has been used for years in reef tanks to attach coral frags.

The popsicle sticks will probably warp pretty bad, pretty quick underwater. Would your design work with 1/4" PVC? It would still be pretty cheap that way.

Good luck...

thank u i did not think of that also i hink straw would work the bendy kind cuz it is light and float should straw hold up good to it just im tryning to make some and save some cash and pvc will end up costing $10 so i might as well just buy the net breeder at my lfs im just tryna cut some corners because we all need to save some money right

In that case, you might be better off trying to make something out of a plastic soda bottle or maybe a milk jug.
