Hey,
So I went out and got all the equipment to start a DIY C02 unit. I got 8 feet tubing, check valve, sugar, yeast. I have a few questions.
1. Can I use other bottles besides a 2 liter soda bottle? This C02 is gonna be for a 29 gallon. Could I use a gallon jug instead? I read it is better to use soda bottles because they are made with plastic that is supposed to hold better with contents under pressure, such as C02.
2. What is a good diffuser? I was thinking of just hooking it to a power head. Should I buy one of those ADA glass diffusers?
3. What is a good mixture to raise the C02 levels a bit but be no where close to OD'ing livestock? All I want to achieve is giving my plants some extra C02 but be safe while I do it. Basically my livestock is more important to my plants to me.
Feel free to post your DIY set ups and what equipment you use. Post pics of you got them as well.
Thanks
