diy cartridge for Emp 400

Instead of buying the cartridges for Emperor 400's, you can use blue bonded filter pads that you can cut and place in front of the media cartridge. When the pads get clogged, just rinse them in aquarium water and reuse. Here's some pics of this setup http://www.auroradolls.com/oscartank.htm

i use dollar store scoar pads they fit just right in the filter pad holder. i use a wisper 60 on my 55 with this setup but only on one side.
