I want to here how some of you guys make your caves and what you use to make them. If you could tell me what fish the cave was made for (if any) that would be cool too. Just looking for some new ideas. Thanks.

**Im currently trying to build some caves for yoyo loaches so if you guys could help me build a cave that suits them that would be great. :) They like tight fits.

In the past, I have used PVC and coated the outside with silicone. Then covered the piping with substrate and partially buried it. Works great and un-noticable if you have the creativity and planning.

this is actually a good idea. i just broke off pieces of slate tile and used that to make "caves"

Loaches like to dig, so make sure any tile or rock caves are well-braced. Many loaches have been smashed under driftwood/rocks/decor that they caused to fall on them. Thats one reason why PVC is more popular. You can use just about anything to hide it... superglued plants, java moss, etc...
