Yesterday, I saw a thread on here showed someone making a series of "caves" out of rain gutter like material, drilling holes in it, and attaching rocks to the outside of it. Now the thread has escaped me. Can anyone help me find it??? I've convinced my wife to look at the idea, and now I can't find it.

great idea!

I used 3" black pvc tubing, cut it in half and using a torch i melted the plastis a but so that it would bend and i bent it into a cave then using got glue i stuck about a billion peces of lavarock to it, i made a total of three but i only kept one, next time im going to use flour pots.

BTW i first used sillicone and the rocks fell off one i put the thing in the water so got glue works best, i also made a planter and a algea eater cave out of a U pipe and a Y pipe, here are some pice...

They have been in the tank for three years and the glue didnt seepinto the water or anything so i think that the hot glue works best, except for burning your self...

thanks WolfFish. BTW, all that algea is all dead now i hydeogenperoxied'd its butt.

Im thinking of getting rid of it and going with something else three years and it gets...stail. Also when i removed all the rocks and caves to "clense them" the little guys spawned for the first time, so i think that they may want a bit more space and less hideing spots. one of the fry is hiding under the Y pipe and the other is under one of the drift wood pieces... unforunetly thats all theres left.
