DIY Cichla tank

Im trying to get ideas for a plywood tank in the future being as how my ocell is only 4 inches. I was just wondering what size tank I should be thinking about making and what demensions? filtration type? Im thinking sump... also only planing on having him and another in the tank. Thanks guys.
 
as big as you can fit/afford :)
 
well how many/what type of cichla did you want? you can never keep just one :)
 
Now I have one ocell and planning to get one either mono or orino wish i could affort a keli and tem wouldnt fit in there right?
 
a 6x2.5x2 would be good for pretty most pbass, except for tems/azul/pinima. those guys get massive!!! orino/mono/ocell/kelberi would be fine.

but i would make at least 3ft wide and 2.5 tall, youll be glad you did!
 
6x2.5x2 = 225
6x3x2.5 = 340
6x3x3 = 405 (what i have :))
