Diy co2 could work - but with that size tank a pressurised system may be more suitable. Diy tends to be more suitable for smaller setups. What are you planning on growing?

I agree with this, I tried one of those DIY yeast systems on a 150 gland it worked well for a while until it failed and sent the contents of the bottle exploding into the tank. Probably operator error.
And with the species of plants you mention, although CO2 might help, it is not crucial.
I don't use CO2 (which might limit the type plants I can grow)
But before (I moved) and now, my tank gets plenty lush without it
