Cutting glass is usually something that is just not tryed by people that have not been shown how to do it so i will give you a crash corse,

1. buying the glass cutter, they can be hard to find, but you can find them at wall mart.

2. etching; useing a straight edge and a ruler set the straight edge to where you want to cut.
hold the straight edge firm so that it does not slip and hold the cutter like a pencil and press it onto the glass nice and firm so that it will do a nice even etch.
The next step is to etch, remember, press hard, always etch towards yourself.

3. breaking; Glass under 3mm can be done by makeing 2 thumbs ups, slide the class so that it is sitting off the end of the table so that you can slip your your hands under lock your thumbs on the top and bread it like a ice cream stick.
keep the etch to the top

Nice info. I think that Chompers did a write up on this as well.

Not as easy as it looks. LOL

Don't forget to dip the end of cutter in some acetone/paint thinner....the cutter seems to grab on to the glass better.....won't slide, and etch deeper!

All the better cutters come with oil reservoir in the handle....that release oil as your pressing during the etching...

By just dipping the cheaper versions.....seems to work just as good!
