I actually paid a little more because I don't have sowing machine so I had to buy bonding stitches.
I will say the micron rate must be more then 200 micron's, so it will not give you the super crystal water that you get with "Real" filter socks; but it keeps the water clean and allows for removing of all solid waste each day. It is also better then the bonded filter floss you get a pet(co/smart)
I have been using them for almost a week now, I put a new one on each day, and toss the old ones in a bucket for cleaning later.
I can live with not having my water filtered down to 50 microns to save the money on prefabbed socks. I got the design from a link I found on this site, and it works great.
