If you are going to only use one inlet and one outlet ...I'd put the drain in the center of the tank and maybe split the returns to the outside...less dead area in the tank ...Use bulkheads and drain from the bottom of the tank if you can too...

hey guys have just got my hands on a new tank it was a bargain but i would like to make a filter for it i have drawn up my ideas(WARNING THIS IS A VERY BASIC PICTURE AS IM NOT TO GOOD WITH drawing:irked: ) will this work

What size tank?

Is tank drilled or are you planning on drilling it?

You don't mean a hole in the bottom and drain directly from there do you?
 
id say if your going to go on the drill on the top like that why not just let it hang over so u dont even have to fool with drilling

good design first of all, i was just saying, were you drilled at each corner for the enter and return, why not just fix it to hang over , so you wont even have to drill
