I want to remove a nicaraguan cichlid from a heavily planted tank - without ripping the plants to bits and traumatizing everyone involved of course
. I have used the old 2L bottle trap in the past (inverted opening), but the opening is too small for the Nic. Other than somehow making the opening bigger (Im nervous about the sharp edges; also not much room to enlarge the opening), does anyone have any other ways to get him out? Hes very skittish so waiting with food in a net doesnt work (half my Saturday morning!) he only comes out of the plants when the hood is closed and Im away from the glass.
