DIY Glass Aquarium !!!

Hi , I am new to the field and I made couple of tanks by own too. Btw I have seen some ppl are remove additional silicon using glass cleaner. So no addrional silicon remains inbetween glass. Tank looks nice ..but my concern is strength is enough to hold the two glass surfaces when we remove addrional silicon in joints ????

Most people remove all silicone, and then also replace the silicone layer between the glass you are reffering to. OR they are just resealing the tank in which case they do not completly tear down the tank.
