I have been thinking of several ideas for creating a brace for the middle of my 112 gallon tank which is 60X18X24. The previous owner removed the brace for whatever reason and I was told if I dont replace it than the tank will bow, crack and possibly explode. I have found some replacement glass at Home Depot that is the perfect size but it seems very thin at 3/32". Does anyone know if this would be a good enough support peice if I cut it out to be 16X2"?

do you think it would be fine if i glued 3 16X2" glass pieces together and then siliconed them to the tank. I havent been able to find any thicker replacement glass around my area. Ive checked the Menards, Lowes and Home Depot.
