During a water change my gravel vac, python stopped "sucking", and i was wondering what my options are to make one? Has anybody ever done this, is it even possible?

Justin

Use the gravel vacuum attachment and stick it in a hose and just siphon it outside. It's much faster than siphoning it into the sink, and you aren't wasting so much water. I'd think if it stopped sucking, it's a hardware problem (which LFS should carry parts for) or it's that you are having trouble getting enough force to actually suck and debris out of the water.

Unfourtunately the tank is in the basement and i would not be able to suck water up, and out a window

oh, hahaha, no my basement doesn"t have a sump pump... we have a drain pipe.

i use a hose a duct tape it to a 2 liter bottle with about half the bottom cut out but i only use this in emergency situations since is does tend to take some substate when you clean

I keep saying I was going to do a thread about the one I made.
