I am making a PVC heater cover for my mudskipper tank.... I have a few questions...

-I am going to set the heater in the PVC and use suction cups to keep it in there and off the sides of the pipe... does the pipe need to be attached to the glass or can the PVC pipe then sit on the bottom of the tank? it has to go horizontally, so can it just sit on the bottom?

-Finally, would it be a good idea/ok to put an air stone in or near the heater to help move water through the pipe? I will be drilling lots of holes, but just figure this couldnt hurt....

thanks for the help...
