DIY heater cover

I'm looking for a cheap, easy, DIY heater cover to go over a heater that will be in my rubbermaid sump.


I worry though that it will restrict the efficiency of the heater. Any way around this?

A piece of pvc pipe. Turn it into swiss cheese with holes all the way around it. Put a couple end caps over the ends to pick it up off the floor of the sump.

If the heater contacts the rubbermaid plastic container, it could melt the plastic straight through. Heard of this happening to people

Go to dollar store and grab a large dinner plate/dish, stick heater's suction cup onto plate, then drop the whole thing into the sump. Cheap and simple
