I Have been searching all over the intranet and trying to find someone who has made a heater.

What i am proposing is a water heater element on a thermostat, we have a 4 or 500 gallon system running on a jaquzi pump with a 220v in line heater on that and thats does superior job of keeping it up to temp.

Now we have a a system thats kind of like walmarts set up, it is from marinland its a comercial setup it is 6-75 gallon tanks with 3 high on each side (7'high by 2 wide by 9' long or so), big sytem so we have it going but want 2 find a way to heat it? Like in line, I have found People who take elements and use them on ponds. I just havent had any luck on finding a Diy schematic, oh and i will be posting alot of pics here real soon.

Something like this?

NIST-Traceable Temperature Controller

Turn on or off any piece of equipment that is rated for 115 VAC, up to 15 amps, when temperatures rise above or fall below your setpoints. Just insert your equipment's three-prong plug into the controller's outlet and adjust your setpoints in 1° increments. The temperature range is -4° to +140° F (-20° to +60° C). Accuracy is ±1.8° F (±1° C), and resolution is 0.1° F/° C. Program the unit with up to three pairs of timed on/off events per day; a manual override lets you turn the equipment on or off instantly without disturbing the settings. Controller has a 1/2" high LCD that's powered by two AAA batteries (included). Unit plugs into a three-prong outlet. Controls equipment rated up to 15 amps at 115 VAC. Comes with a certificate traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). Sensor is a thermistor probe with a 3 1/2-ft. cable. Relay and controller each measure 2 3/4" Ht. x 5 1/2" Wd. x 1 1/4" Dp.

something like that but is there a conversion from amps to watts, and we really just need a heatr, there was a guy on here that had 4-6000 watt heaters thats crazy we need like 1000-1200 maybe its in our garage

If your insane enough (kids don't try this at home) hook two 220Vac water heater elements in series and run them on 120Vac with a thermostat or a timer to keep them off more than on to control heat. :screwy: (Yeah I did, and no small children or fish were hurt in this experiment...but then again I think bare wires just make life interesting).
