Im confused as to how overflows work, I think i could build a good sump filter if i could just grasp the concept of how overflows work to keep the tank and sump from overflowing during a power outage. i cant grasp the concept. It seems to me like when the power came back on the pump pumping water back to the tank would over flow the tank before the siphon on the overflow started working again .
