So i made some lunar lights or my 10 gallon kinda a trial for my 55, i bought some LED's that are blue and made to be wired to a car http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...romSearch=true , and a adapter to change 120ac to 12v dc (can't find a link). cost me about $25 bucks, but will definatly need either more leds, or maybe a couple 12 inch neon lights for my 55. (i can lower the voltage on the adapter if the lights are too bright anyway here are some pics. The first is one that shows what it looks like in the day time (takin at night with the flash so it is normally brighter), the second a night shot with the lunars (it's a little brighter live but still not enough for a 55 need more then 4 for sure)

I just made one the other night.
go to radioshack and get a few of the jumbo LED thats around 470 nm mine were 465.
wire them up.
4 for a 55 works great.
if you coat the exposed wire in hot glue or something waterproof
stick the led further in the water it will spread the light

I have, the picture comes out black. The tank is lite nicely with the LED's but I can't get a picture of it. I've tried low lighting in the room, no lighting. MAybe a better camera will work.

just did my 300. now i can finally sit and drink a beer after work and see my lima doing something...
