has anayone tried putting a mirror up the whole lenght of you tank as a background.
pro.-its new and will make the tank look twice the size.
con.-it might up set the fish.(planning on oscars)

I would think the mirror would either make the fish more secure by making them think there is more of their own kind in the tank, or they will go nuts when they see other oscars in the tank. Only one way to find out.

It would make the tank look alot bigger though.

I would try it with a smaller mirror, or use a full length one, but do not attatch it and see how they react and if you like it.

post pics too.

i found the mirror background to be annoying when its placed flat against the glass.. mine always end up reflecting a fan/tv/window/something that moves.. this took away from the "fishtankness" of the tank... and the fish did not enjoy it much either.. however putting the bottom against the tank and letting the top lean away from the tank a few inches so it reflects up a bit was much better... this is a standard on my Q/hospital tank but i dont run any of my tanks with mirror backgrounds...
