So I found a way to do this for now for very cheap adjust need advice. They said nominate blue paper and put it under your lights. Saw a video and it looked decent. I was wondering what paper is best that will show the best blue moonlight effect without just blocking light? Dark blue construction paper? Or something else??

I went to Google and typed in DIY Moonlight lighting with paper and chose the YouTube video. The guy uses paper but doesn't say what kind...

If you are really intrested google/ youtube DIY led lights and make one that way just using blue ones they are pretty easy to make. This would work for a smaller tank thought I dont know how big yours is.

Lol you want a cheap solution. I am a graphic designer and even though i personally don't use this much nor is it used much in the printing industry as much as it use to be.....ACETATE was used for proofing prints by layering multiple colors to see what something would look like prior to printing.

In whatever color you want...it comes in sheets.

Here's a link i found on amazon. I'm sure it can be found anywhere else. Paper to me isn't as transparent as you want it to be which blocks too much light in some cases.

Craft stores usually carry it as well
