Overall this only took about an hour to do the soldering and fit everything into the hood.
The LED strips
They already have an adhesive strip on the back
Wired them to the old 2-pin fan adapters
I mounted one strip with my angle adjustable moonlight from my custom LED build.
Originally I had this one on the fan, but I later moved it down to the heatsink.
The female DC jack.
I re-purposed the original power connector from the old PC lighting system to power the PCB board.
Here is what it looked like first testing it.
Installed with the hood lifted.
