DIY overflow box with hang-on filter...

I am making a overflow box using a old hang-on filter....

anyone had done this b4??

useing the onbord pump???, you can dill a hole in the bottom of the HOB and either melt in a barbed fitting in or use a manifold. then run a ballvalve and a line to your sump. this way the water bypasses back into the tank when not in use by the sump... and iff you loose power it shouldnt siphen the water out either...
