i am thinking about putting my tanks on a drip system, but am boggled on how to make overflows for my tanks for such a low flow, basically none. none of my tanks are ran by sumps, not drilled, and all glass.

would a standard diy overflow made out of 1/2" pipe with an aqua lifter work? shouldnt the aqua lifter keep the overflow primed enough for the drip?

are you just going to drain to a floor drain? if so why not just do airlline with a flow valve?

a drip acclimation setup would look a little better too. basically a 1/8 siphon hose w/ flow valve to slow it down

no it needs to be an overflow, im not gonna bet all my fish/equipment on the hopes that i have the syphon set to the exact same as the drip. the overflow will be routed outside.

many available. but that one can handle 145 psi. and is possitive close diaphrame. could be fed off powerhead or canister ect.

just build exactly what you suggested, it shouldn't have a problem holding a prime IMO that was my plan for my 540
