i have done my pvc overflow system. But the problem is when i start the siphone it starts but after power is out for more than half an hour or so. The siphone does not start. I have to suck the air from the check value. I will post the pictures can you guys tell me are there any flaws in the design

Yeah the pic doesn't work. Sounds like your siphon isn't airtight. Even if the siphon is planned perfectly, if the fittings are a bit loose, or there is a small whole anywhere it will loose its prime...

I don't see your check valve, sounds like you have an air leak. Its a small leak somewhere. On a side note your tee that leads down to the filter could be lower and would then give you more flow.

slap some silicon at all the junctions, let it cure and u will be good to go that is if u don't want to use PVC cement other wise cement it up. the silicon would be so u can take it apart later the cement is there for good

hello guys

its working. i have fixed all the leakage. and i have changed the position of Tee i have taken it a bit downwards near the elbow. i m also getting a good flow rate and is matching with the 330 gallon pump. i have not attached any check valve. i have drilled a hole and i have put a hose adapter to it i m going to attach to powerhead.

i want to paint it black how can i pant the pvc with oil paint.

Best way to paint it is with krylon fusion. It is meant for plastic and safe for fish when dry. Clean and rough up the plastic first.
