DIY overflow ??

i made a wet/dry out of an emty 10 gal i had to put on my 55 gal tank. my ?? is can i make my DIY overflows out of 3/4 PVC? i plan to build 2 overflows. my return pump is rated at 300 gph. let me know what you think or what might work better. thanks

Make one out of 1" like the one in the sticky. It will flow more than enough.

If you wanted you could make it out of 3/4". I would deffinatly go with the 1" tho. I used 1" on my 29g.

For a 55g, 3/4" is good. And there is safety in redundancy; Two overflows is better than one.

450g I think. Thats my logic but not for sure. How I got it was that I know 1" flows 600gph. S every 1/4" of width flows 150g. so for 3/4". 150x3=450.

Pie are not round They are square. (hint, hint)

3/4" will flow 300 gph on a good day.
